Untangling the Complicated
Psychotherapy For Individuals, Couples & Anyone in Between
A Safe Space to Dig Deep
I believe psychotherapy offers an opportunity for deep exploration and understanding- a chance to figure out who you are and what you want, protected from the din and pressure of other relationships. Confusion, worry, disappointment, loneliness, anger and stuckness are some of the feelings that can be tended to in a good psychotherapy.
For couples, this means a chance to slow things down, to hear what each of you are trying to communicate and identify the obstacles that get in the way.
By close and careful attention to your experience, I will work with you in an empathic and collaborative way to map your internal and external landscapes, identifying fault lines, discovering strengths, finding resources, and shoring up vulnerabilities. In an environment of privacy and safety you may find or re-find motivation and meaning, expanding your choices, and your sense of what is possible.
My Approach
I draw upon dynamic, experiential, and cognitive methods, to develop and implement effective strategies to overcome obstacles that interfere with your personal and professional accomplishment. I will challenge you; but I will stay with you in the difficult, unfamiliar, and uncomfortable moments as we work to find new ways of being with yourself, with others, and in the world.
